Who is your favorite superhero? Is it Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Iron Man, Spider-Man, The Hulk? Or some character like Goku of Dragon Ball series. Surely, there are plenty of superheroes whom we love and get inspired by.

But did you know that even a state has its own favorite superhero?

Recently a map was released to tackle the task of finding the most popular superhero in each state of the United States, and guess what? The top pick for Arizona and New Jersey is none of the above.

According to the Decluttr.com which used to sell CDs, DVDs, books and more took a dip into Google search data to find out the most beloved characters across the nation.

The top choice for Arizona came out to be our beloved captain. Yes, you have guessed absolutely right, according to the findings published last week, Marvel Comic’s “Captain America” is the favorite superhero of Arizona. And the favorite superhero of New Jersey is DC Comic’s fastest man alive “The Flash”.

Other than Arizona, there are only three other states which have favored Captain America Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. New Jersey was most similar to residents in Maine Virginia and Hawaii, who also favored The Flash.

Spider-Man won over seven states, across the country, claiming the title of the most popular superhero, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi and his home state of New York.

The Dark Knight swoops in at second, topping searches in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, West Virginia and New Hampshire. While the rest of the U.S. was pretty divided

Jessica Jones won over Oregon, California and Vermont, while the ‘Man of Steel’ was Ohio's No. 1 pick. Iron Man was the top choice in Minnesota, Montana and Connecticut.
