India Association of Phoenix is organizing its yearly Discover India 2017 at Scottsdale Civic Center on Nov 11. This free community event aims at promoting the rich cultural heritage of India through its vibrant compilation of all seasons from around India. Be a part of this entertainment filled extravaganza and experience the true Indian Spirit with some marvelous performance and exhibits.
The theme for this years Discover India event is “Festivals of India”. Celebrating all four major seasons in its true Indian vigor, showcasing these festivals in their true Desi grandeur. Experience and rejoice the Spring, Monsoon, Fall and Winter in Auspicious Indian ways and be a part of this cultural extravaganza, right here in Arizona.
A fun filled day with delectable and authentic Indian food relishing all Indian flavors from each part of our nation. Also included some breath taking cultural performances sure to please your family. Live Performances following all our rituals and ethnic marvels from the great land of India, celebrating the festivals in its true glory. Followed by A Family friendly fashion show, bringing out festive wear from various parts of India, a must watch for sharing our cultural marvels with our children.
Also included are art contests aiming at spreading the true essence of Indian festivals. Children as a part of the workshop would be given festival theme, to bring out everything that makes this festival a grand celebration. From kite making, decorating tent and celebratory food preparation to exhibits at the end of the event including regional festival art and rituals. This is a sure delightful Indian cultural event, for families specially our young Indian’s.
