Two dead after motorbike crash in Goodyear

In a tragic incident two people including one teen died in a motorbike crash in Goodyear along a sharp curved road. The crash occurred at 5:45 p.m. at 143rd and Vineyard avenues, this  area is east of South Estrella Parkway and south of the Gila River. This is the place where road curves to around 90 degree bend causing the turn to be very risky.

27 year old motor bike rider died on the spot and 16 year old female passenger died later due to severe injuries. Though both of them were wearing helmets as mentioned by Goodyear Police Spokesperson. The police has yet not confirmed the identities of the two as they are trying to contact the relatives of the two deceased.

LISA KURTIS, a police spokes person for Goodyear police Department confirmed the two deaths and also stated that one of them was a 27 year old man who was riding the bike and died on the spot and the other passenger was his friend a 16 year old teen female who later succumbed to her injuries. Kurtis did not comment on the details of the two, and said the two people who died were wearing helmet during the crash.

The road would be closed for sometime as the investigation progresses. The initial report suggests impairment or speed are not the cause of the accident. And the traffic is not believed to have cause the unfortunate crash.

More news to come in as investigation progresses. Both the north bound and south bound streets around the site of accident were shut down and no more information is released yet.
