Phoenix (AP):
A federal appeals court has upheld a lower court ruling that Maricopa County can also be held liable for the policies of a former Arizona sheriff whose department was found to have discriminated against Latinos

According to the 9th US circuit court of Appeals in San Francisco, which has issued an application on Monday that Maricopa County is also responsible for all the similar policies carried out by former sheriff Joe Arpio , when he assumed the office.

Attorney of Maricopa County Bill Montgomery said that his office is reviewing the opinion on court rulings.

The opinion outflows from the Government of United States, to take action against Arpio and the county seeking to object and conclude his practices  towards Latinos.

These included the accusations of discrimination, as described in a high profile chase action suit against the former sheriff for stops of traffic, suspected by people for being Immigrants in the United States illegally.
