Britain energy minister jailed after ex-wife takes revenge

Chrish Huhne, the disgraced energy minister for Britain was jailed for eight months after his ex-wife quenched her thirst for revenge. The minister was jailed for lying to the police about a speeding offence a decade ago.

Here is how it happened. Chis Huhne and Vicky Pryce were happily a wedded couple in 2003. In one incident, Chrish Huhne was driving his car along with his wife and was caught on the speeding camera for driving well over limits. The loving wife however took the blame on her to avoid a driving ban on her minister husband.

Everything went well according to plan after the police bought the false tale. But only until, the minister got himself involved with another woman, Carina Trimingham. He later in 2010 left his wife to live with his mistress and Pryce was furious about it. She decided to bring the cheating husband down to his feet at all costs. Revenge was the only thing on her mind. She leaked the family secret that she shared with no one until 10 years to the press.

This brought the already disgraced minister (due to his illicit affair) further down. Huhne who was before the scandal a potential candidate for the Liberal Democrats leadership in the near future, was dragged to the docks of the court.

The judge Nigel Sweeney said, "Any element of tragedy is entirely your own fault”. He said, talking to Huhne that he has fallen very low trying to buy his ticket out of jail by lying and that was despicable. Chiding Pryce he said that she had several negative shades to her nature which were “controlling, manipulative and devious” while telling her that it was only her implacable desire for revenge that had forced her to do this.
