About Chinmaya Mission Phonix
Founded in 1953, by devotees of Swami Chinmayananda, the mission formed a center of a movement of spiritual renaissance that present embraces a wide range of educational, religious, and charitable activities, dignifying thousands of lives in India and overseas.
The mission is administrated by Central Chinmaya Mission Trust, Mumbai, headed by Swami Tejomayananda.
About Swami Chinmayananda
Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati, an inspiration behind the mission is a Hindu spiritual leader and a teacher with an aim to extend the knowledge of Advaita Vedanta, the non-dual system of thought found in the Upanishads, which epitomize the philosophical teachings of the Vedas.
