Vanayaudham narrates the valor of the Veerappan. The story revolves around the slain brigand and lists all important milestones of his life.

Story
Vanayudham starts off about younger days of the sandalwood smuggler. How he smuggled elephant tusks and sandalwood. Then it moves onto the days when the governments of the bordering states haunt him down and how he escapes. The kidnap of the Kannada superstar Rajkumar and his release. The sensations he created nationally with the kidnap, later ends up with the death of the smuggler.
Analysis :
Filmmaker A M R Ramesh had narrated known events with more intricacies and thereby making it quite interesting. The screenplay, narration and correlating events were awesome to make this thriller more entertaining. However the limitations of the filmmaker turned out into a weak element for the film which could not speak out of the ground realities. However this film is gripping and worth the salt.
Performance :
Kishore as Veerappan has excelled in his portrayal. His acting deserves appreciation and accolades too. Action King Arjun has done his part with his usual signature. Sampath and national award winner Jayabalan make it a cake walk as ex-military officers. Vijayalakshmi needed more frames.
Final Word:Youth entertainer with a subtle message.
