Bharti Airtel To Launch 4G Services At 3G PriceSci-Tech

Bharti Airtel has announced a nationwide launch of 4G services, high-speed data services, in India and teases free voice facility with some of its offerings. The 4G service is now made available to 51 cities and towns with an expansion within two weeks to 296 towns.

The 4G service or Fourth generation offers high-speed internet service and data services many times faster than that of the third generation or 3G. The 4G service facilitates faster uploads and downloads using smart phones, dongles or via a hot spot and even continuous high-definition video streaming.

Bharti Airtel MD & CEO for India and South Asia, Gopal Vittal, said, "We will offer 4G services at 3G prices... We are children of competition in a way and we work in brutal marketplace and that makes us better and sharper.”

Airtel special deals

Because of an expected competition with the launch of Reliance Jio later in 2015, Bharti Airtel bundled several offers and special deals. Is entered deals with Samsung, handset manufacturer, and Flipkart, online marketer.

Airtel launches packs at Rs 25 with plans starting for Rs 999 a month. It is offering unlimited voice calls and downloads with along some music options and higher-end packages such like Rs 1,999 plan. This is for the first time in the country that a telecom operator is offering free voice service accompanying schemes.
