Why maintain secrecy? AP Administrative Tribunal questions APPSC

The Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal has asked the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission as to why it has been maintaining secrecy when it is a government body. It asked APPSC to have a transparency. It has stated that there was no need for the service commission to keep the guidelines of evaluation as a confidential matter.  Over confidentiality has been giving raise to more apprehensions, the Tribunal opined.

The Tribunal has asked whether there were any matters relating to exchange of money. It may be recalled that the AP Tribunal headed by chairman Justice Dr G. Yathirajulu along with other members including A . K . Goyal looked into the irregularities of APPSC acting on the petition filed by Telugu medium students. The students were of the opinion that they were at great loss due to translation.  Counsel D Prakash Reddy argued on behalf of the students.  He has stressed on the need for re-conducting the exam as more than 40 per cent of question paper was full of blunders.

Meanwhile, the APPSC defended the arguments that it has passed certain guidelines to the evaluation team that cannot be disclose.  The counsel of APPSC, K G Krishnamoorthy has said that the commission was ready to give explanation to each and every question but would not divulge the guidelines at any cost.
