People know that smoking is bad for body,  yet some continue to smoke because it has become a habit. Cigarettes have numerous harmful toxins. The nicotine in cigarettes can cause a lot of issues like high blood pressure and different lung diseases. Even if you stop smoking, the negative effects of the nicotine last for years.  

By smoking you are decreasing the amount of vitamin C, E, and A in your body. These vitamins protect the lungs from damage. Nicotine is absorbed through the skin, nose, mouth and lungs, and travels through the bloodstream to the brain. Nicotine can also lead to insulin sensitivity and insulin resistance and also increase the  risk of developing metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
These foods can help you flush out the nicotine:

Water :  Water flushes out the toxins from the body through skin. Nicotine dehydrates the body, so water helps to re-hydrate the body. Daily 8-12 cups of water is  recommended.

Oranges : Oranges contain vitamin C, it boost metabolism and reduces stress.

Kiwi :  Kiwi regains vitamins A, C, and E,  that smoking reduces.
