71-year-old school guard held for kissing a student

Pima County deputies have detained a former high school security guard for an offensive act of allegedly kissing a female student several times while at school.

As per Pima County Sheriff’s Department, the 71-year-old Eric Oswald and a 15-year-old female student of Cienega High School, south of Tucson, had developed a relationship a over a period of several months.

John Carruth, assistant superintendent of Vail School District, said Oswald, a former educator, had served the school for seven years. His employment was terminated following the scandal.

Authorities revealed that their relationship developed when the two first kissed when she was 14.

Oswald has been held for aiding in delinquency of a minor.
