Three suspects arrested in Halloween homicide case

Mesa Police Department have finally got a breakthrough in Halloween night homicide.

The officials have detained three suspects and booked them on charges of murder of Brian Lee Weathers on Halloween night.

According to the reports, Weathers was discovered with a gunshot wound near the Superstition Freeway and Mesa Drive at approximately 11:44 p.m. He later succumbed to his injuries.

Police were hunting for leads on the case when a witness came forward and furnished details of that night incident leading to the identification of three suspects.

On Dec. 4, Mesa detectives arrested Zackary Burgess, 22, Brandon Simon, 18, and Joseph Holt, 22, d on unrelated charges in Tennessee.

“When they were contacted in Tennessee, they were driving a vehicle with evidence linking to the homicide.”

Each of them have been charged with one count of first degree murder, kidnapping and armed robbery.
All three will be held on a $1 million bond each awaiting extradition to Arizona.
