Arizona woman, boyfriend booked for Las Vegas shooting

An Arizona woman and her boyfriend had been set free from Las Vegas jail for a bail of $500,000.

The couple was thrown behind the bars in the Christmas week after the they shot down a motorist on the Las Vegas Strip after a traffic dispute.

Brittanie Merritt-Burwell and Joshua Youngblood made a appearance yesterday for the first time after they were arrested last week at a Las Vegas fast-food restaurant.

A Jan. 17 preliminary hearing of evidence has been set for the case.

The 21-year-old Merritt-Burwell from Glendale, Arizona ins booked under attempted murder for allegedly shooting the man on his neck. The 28-year-old Youngblood is charged of concealing weapon and harboring a felony offender.

Merritt-Burwell later told police she was defending herself.
