President Barack Obama has directly mentioned the activities of extremists as terrorist activities and said they are not the warriors of Islam. He specifically mentioned the youth of Islam community are being misguided in the name of religion by the extremists through social media networks and other platforms.

He said that the terrorist groups are spreading the US and western countries are against Islam and Muslims, which is not correct. He said that at any cost the terrorist groups shall be put down.

The US president also appealed directly to Muslims to do more to distance themselves from brutal ideologies.

He also urged older people to be familiar with social media for guiding the youth in a right and nonviolence direction.
