Megastar Chiranjeevi is busy with the shoot of Acharya. Koratala Siva is the director and Chiranjeevi joins the sets of the film from November 20th. Chiranjeevi is in plans to work without breaks and complete the shoot of Acharya by the end of February. Chiranjeevi signed the remake of Tamil blockbuster film Vedhalam. Meher Ramesh is the director and the shoot of the film commences from March. Keerthy Suresh has been finalized to play Chiranjeevi's sister in the film.

There are talks that Chiranjeevi will be taking home Rs 60 crores as remuneration for the film. The makers agreed to pay the quoted remuneration which is highest for a Telugu actor. Chiranjeevi is charging Rs 50 crores for Acharya and hiked his fee for his next. Vedhalam remake will be shot in quick schedules and will release for Dasara. Anil Sunkara will produce this film on AK Entertainments banner. Mahati Swara Sagar is composing the music for this emotional entertainer.
