The residents of the Yavapai County residents were startled by a loud sound on Sunday during the early hours of the day. The mysterious sound was said to be heard for miles.

Multiple number of calls have been made to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office around 7:20 in the morning by the people across the county and the sound of the loud explosion or boom has been reported.

Although some residents of the Yavapai County believe that an earth quake had shaken the area while few others thought that something has fallen from the sky due to which the loud boom was heard, there has been no exact reason known by the authorities.

It has been reported by the people from all over the state that they had seen something in the sky when they had heard the sound.

However, there is no official explanation regarding the reason that was responsible for the sound but it has been said by the Yuvapai County Sheriff’s Office that the best explanation for the sound would be a meteor event.

The authorities in the area says that several reports regarding the noise were received. Corporal Hepperle along with the Prescott Valley Police Department has said that their office has received several calls reporting the sound being heard and that no damage has been reported.

The source of the noise is still not known and is being investigated, says the officials with the Office of the Yavapai County Sheriff.
