A Kuwaiti woman, married for only a week, has apparently filed for divorce after she was taken aback by her new husband's bizarre table manners.

Apparently, the woman was shell-shocked after she saw her husband scoop up peas with bread in lieu of fork that offended her good sense.

Now she has filed divorce citing poor table manners and eating etiquette. For her, it was a "shocking sight" and she decided that she couldn't spend the rest of her life with him. Someone should advise her to “make peas, not war”.

“One critical issue is that many spouses should use their engagement period to know each other well enough to decide whether they should go on with their union,” a legal expert in Kuwait told the Gulf News.

If you may recall, The Gulf News once cited a similar incident wherein a woman sought divorce as her husband refused to squeeze toothpaste from the end, and always did the same from the middle. And that led to 'the end' of their union.
