Huachuca City fire chief arrested

Sierra Vista, AZ: A fire chief Jon Allmon was arrested on felony theft charges and trafficking of stolen property.  John is 54 year old and Huachuca City’s fire chief.

He was arrested on Monday night on the charges of theft. Officers took a search warrant to his home for investigating into fraud bank checks.

The police confirmed, around 11 fraud checks were deposited into his bank over a period of 7 days. And soon after the money was withdrawn by Allmon from ATM.

Officials investigating Allmon said that he was involved in a financial scam which aimed a quick fix financial gig. This was targeted on groups which wanted a quick update on their credit rating.

According to Police Allmon is believed to have bought a fire truck with four “jaws of life” extrication tools on behalf of Huachuca city.  He is believed to have sold one of those tools to another fire department keeping all the proceeds to himself.
