Vayalar leaves for Delhi

The union minister Vayalar Ravi-who reached Andhra Pradesh on the orders of Sonia Gandhi three days ago-has left for Delhi on Friday evening.

Vayalar Ravi has winded up his three day tour to the state successfully.  During his visit to the state, he has held several meetings with the party members in the state. On the first day he discussed with Bothsa Satyanarayana and several other Congress leaders in Hyderabad over undisclosed matters. The next day he met Chiranjeevi at his residence in Hyderabad where he attended the breakfast meeting.

After the breakfast meet, he addressed the media and told that he didn’t speak anything about by-polls with any leader including Chiranjeevi. Later he made negating statement stating that the main agenda behind the tour was by-polls.

Vayalar Ravi who also met leaders in Rajamundry and Godavari districts enquired the problems of tobacco farmers. After his return from coastal region, he met chief minister and attended the luncheon on Friday afternoon and then left for Delhi in the evening.

Before leaving for Delhi, Vayalar spoke to the media. He said he asked Congress leaders work towards party’s victory in by-polls. He has termed the allegations on differences between the chief minister and PCC chief as baseless. (Phani)
