About this Event

We have more Gather storytellers to share with you! The theme this month is "Calling It Home." Next up: Ruchi Kalra.

She was born in India, moved to Africa when she was nine and has lived in the U.S since she moved for college at 15. Yes, she started college at fifteen, but that’s a whole other story. She has a B.S. in math and computer science and an MBA in marketing.

Kalra has her own business coaching firm, Dancing Raindrops, Inc., to help small businesses tell their stories so they can let their true messages shine through authentically.

When not helping clients, Kalra spends her time writing; she is an Amazon bestseller author, has co-authored three books and is working on her own solo book. She is a contributor to AZ India Times, Brown Girl Magazine, Thrive Global, Medium and Lassi with Lavina. Her writing is a spicy yet soulful blend of Indian heritage, African upbringing and American influences.

Kalra has a passion for painting, cooking and baking. She has been actively running a recipe group on FB since the start of COVID which has turned into a micro-community of support and escape for many. She is very active in her local community with events and is an advisor for the organization Help Humanity Today. Before COVID, she loved to travel and footprint the world with her family, which includes her husband and childhood sweetheart Vivek, her two kids Riya and Eshan and her fur baby Jax. She is a mom/author/storyteller based out of Arizona.
