Scottsdale; Nov 1:
Police have identified the motorist killed in a crash near Loop 101 Early Monday Morning. There was a head on collision and the driver, Robert Demar of Gilbert died on the spot. The Truck driver, with who’s pick up truck the collision occurred is still not disclosed.

Demar stopped on the left shoulder near Shea BLVD in Scottsdale, in the northbound lanes of the freeway when a pickup truck hit him straight. The debris along with Demar’s body fell into southbound lanes. The Pickup truck also caught fire in the incident.

The Loop was closed in both north bound and south bound directions after the crash. Marika Meeks while running errands with her husband saw fiery crash and took video of the fire engulfing the truck and the motorbike. The Northbound loop opened after 1pm and and South bound later that day.

Trooper Kameron Lee with DPS said, “We don't know if he was actually on the motorcycle at this point or standing next to his bike but it caused the rider to go over the top of the wall and into southbound lanes”

More story to come in, and it is not confirmed if the truck driver was injured in the fatal crash. Probability of distraction or impairment while driving are yet not confirmed.
