Hardik Pandya, the captain of the Mumbai Indians, addressed the controversy surrounding the change in leadership that occurred when Rohit Sharma was replaced as captain. This decision allowed Hardik, who had previously played for the Gujarat Titans, to take on the role. During a press conference held by the Mumbai Indians, Hardik expressed that he does not anticipate any awkwardness between himself and Rohit. He also mentioned his excitement about returning to the team and playing at his favorite ground, the Wankhede Stadium. When asked about the captaincy change, Hardik acknowledged Rohit's influence and stated that he expects Rohit to support and guide him, as he has done throughout their careers together.

In light of concerns about injury, Hardik has taken a step back from his role as a batter. While the fans' reactions to the captaincy change have been less than positive at times, Hardik prefers to focus on what he can control. "I will continue to bowl.
