Oppo introduced the Find X9 series in China on October 16, which includes two versions, the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro, both using Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chips. A third version, probably named Find X9 Ultra, is anticipated to be revealed later this year. Before its launch, a source has shared details about the flagship's battery, suggesting it might have the biggest battery among Ultra-branded smartphones or competing flagship models. The Oppo Find X9 Ultra is predicted to have the largest battery in its category, based on information from the source Smart Pikachu (translated from Chinese). The precise capacity hasn’t been disclosed, but Oppo previously mentioned that “no 7000mAh, no flagship,” indicating that the X9 Ultra may feature a battery with at least 7000mAh. Earlier, the source Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) claimed that the Oppo Find X9 Ultra could have a battery greater than 7000mAh, but less than 8000mAh.
Importantly, the newest Oppo Find X9 Pro and Find X9 are powered by 7500mAh and 7025mAh batteries, respectively, both providing 80W wired fast charging. The current Oppo Find X8 Ultra has a 6,100mAh battery and allows for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The source indicated that the Oppo Find X9 Ultra may come with a 6.8-inch 2K screen designed to protect your eyes. There are suggestions that the phone will feature a quad-camera system, which includes two periscope telephoto lenses. The source mentioned that both periscope lenses have been improved with larger sensors, greatly boosting image quality for macro, portrait, and zoom photography. The Oppo Find X8 Ultra has a rear camera system tuned by Hasselblad, featuring a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 ultrawide camera, a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-700 3x telephoto lens, a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 6x periscope lens, and a 2-megapixel spectral camera.
The source also mentioned that Oppo is working on an ultra-thin smartphone, but its name and line are still unconfirmed. It could be part of either the Oppo Find or Oppo Reno series. The same source recently stated that Xiaomi is developing a similar device, reportedly called the Xiaomi 17 Air.
