The Oakley Meta Glasses will be sold in India starting next month, according to the company’s announcement. Meta introduced these AI-driven smart glasses in June, partnering with Oakley, known for its sports gear. They merge the HSTN design of Oakley glasses with Meta's AI tech. Similar to the Ray-Ban Meta Glasses, the Oakley Meta Glasses work with the Meta AI voice assistant and enable users to film videos in resolutions up to 3K. The starting price for the Oakley Meta HSTN Glasses in India is Rs. 41,800. Buyers can select from various lens options, such as Prizm, Prizm Polarized, Clear, and Transition lenses.
In worldwide markets, the Oakley Meta Glasses come in these frame and lens pairs:
Oakley Meta HSTN Warm Grey with PRIZM Ruby Lenses
Oakley Meta HSTN Black with PRIZM Polar Black Lenses
Oakley Meta HSTN Brown Smoke with PRIZM Polar Deep Water Lenses
Oakley Meta HSTN Black with Transitions Amethyst Lenses
Oakley Meta HSTN Clear with Transitions Grey Lenses
Oakley Meta HSTN Black with Clear Lenses
The smart glasses can be pre-ordered at Sunglass Hut and major optical and eyewear stores in the country starting today. According to Meta, they will officially launch on December 1.
Meta states that the Oakley Meta Glasses are designed for athletic performance and are ideal for sports fans. They feature a 12-megapixel camera, allowing videos to be recorded in up to 3K resolution, which is an improvement over the 1080p resolution available in the first version of the Ray-Ban Meta Glasses.
The camera along with an LED light, which is likely to act as a recording signal, is found on both sides of the frame. This setup allows users to capture their point-of-view (PoV) videos with a specific button. Users can also live stream from a first-person perspective on platforms such as Instagram. It includes five microphones for audio recording.

Just like the Ray-Ban Meta Glasses, the Oakley Meta Glasses support making calls and sending texts. By simply saying ‘Hey Meta,’ users can activate the built-in voice assistant to operate hands-free. The glasses can provide real-time information about the weather, help with planning activities, offer cooking suggestions, and control music playback through integration with services like Apple Music, Spotify, and more.
According to the company, the Oakley Meta HSTN Glasses can last for up to eight hours during regular usage after a full charge and can remain on standby for up to 19 hours. They come with a charging case, which reportedly offers an additional 48 hours of power. Additionally, these glasses have an IPX4 rating, which protects them against dust and water.
