Xiaomi Pad 8, the newest tablet from the company, is set to be released in India later this week. The Chinese tech company has recently hinted at the release of a new device, which is confirmed to be the Xiaomi Pad 8. This tablet will also be available in worldwide markets, including India. It will feature a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor and come with a battery capacity of 9,200mAh. It is compatible with the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro stylus and works with the Focus Keyboard, which has illuminated keys and a touchpad that allows for gestures. As we approach the launch event for the Xiaomi 17 series, a specific landing page on the company's site shows that the Xiaomi Pad 8 will be introduced on the same day — February 28. The event will kick off at 2pm in Barcelona (which is 6:30pm IST in India), and the company states that the Xiaomi Pad 8 is their thinnest tablet to date. The microsite also provides more information about the Xiaomi Pad 8. It will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, and it’s expected to operate on Android 16 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 interface. The company has indicated that the tablet will have a 9,200mAh battery.
Recently, the company hinted at an accessory with illuminated keys. The landing page for the Xiaomi Pad 8 indicates that the Xiaomi Focus Keyboard for the new tablet will include adaptive backlit keys and a touchpad that recognizes gestures. In China, the Xiaomi Pad 8 was released with the same processor as the global version, along with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. The tablet features an 11.2-inch 3.2K LCD display, with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. It includes a 50-megapixel rear camera and a 32-megapixel front camera. If the global version has similar features to the one launched in China, it may support 67W charging and have a slim design at just 5.75mm thick.
