In a major breach, Twitter accounts of many prominent people including Kardashian, Obama, Bezos and Elon Musk were hacked and bogus tweets were tweeted from their accounts.

The micro-blogging social media website Twitter on July 15 witnessed a major breach and accounts of prominent celebrities like Kanye West, Warren Buffet, Mike Bloobmerg and Barack Obama were hacked and the hackers posted messages urging followers to fork up crypto currency.

The corporate accounts of Uber and Apple were also affected due to the twitter breach.

Fake tweets were tweeted from these official verified accounts of prominent people in which the hackers offered to send $2000 for every $1000 sent to a bit coin address.

Some of the fake tweets were immediately deleted but it long to get control of these accounts. In the case of Elon Musk’s twitter account, a tweet on crypto currency was deleted swiftly but in no time another tweet emerged.

Reacting to the major breach, Twitter said they were aware of the security breach that has been impacting twitter accounts and is investigating and taking steps to fix the issue.

Moreover, CEO of Bit Torrent, Justin Sun put a penalty of $1 million on the ones responsible for this hacking incident of twitter.

Experts after meticulous investigation into the matter said that hackers might have gained access to these celebrity accounts at the system level and not individual level. While the twitter accounts getting hacked is not a rare incident, the coordination at large scale has shocked the experts.

Co-founder of cyber security, Crowd Strike had said that this breach is probably the worst hack that has ever happened.

Some experts expressed dubiousness that the hackers might have had access to Twitter’s internal infrastructure.

Records show that hackers and scammers have already received more than $100,000 worth of crypto currency. Several experts have raised questions on Twitter’s cyber security.

Many CEO’s and founders of cyber security companies alleged Twitter of not protecting itself from hackers.
