Fire officials rescued four dogs and two cats from a condominium on fire on Sunday evening in Phoenix.

As revealed by Phoenix Fire Captain Ruben Saavedra, the fire set off a little before 5:30 p.m. near 12th Street and Maryland Avenue. The residents of the two-story condo — Cari Cavuoto and her son, were at church at the time.

“Crews coordinated resuscitation efforts, and the pets were all reunited with Cavuoto. But two cats and one dog were taken to an emergency hospital,”according to an ABC15 crew on scene.

Cavuoto revealed that she had rescued these animals from local shelters and now has no where to live as she was renting the condominium.
