On Tuesday, the United States sent Anmol Bishnoi, the younger sibling of gang leader Lawrence Bishnoi and someone involved in killing Nationalist Congress Party politician Baba Siddiqui, back to his home country. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security informed Zeeshan Siddiqui, Baba Siddiqui's son, about this deportation in an email, which was shared with NDTV. The email stated, "This email is to inform you ANMOL BISHNOI has been removed from the United States by the federal government. The offender was removed on November 18, 2025." Bishnoi is anticipated to arrive in India on November 19. India is looking for Anmol Bishnoi for his part in several violent acts, such as the killing of Siddiqui in October 2024 and Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in May 2022. He is also wanted because shots were fired outside the Mumbai home of Bollywood actor Salman Khan in April 2024. American authorities arrested him in November of last year, but not for crimes committed in India. It is believed that he was arrested for illegally entering the United States.

Soon after, India started the process to have him sent back, following a Maharashtra court's order for his arrest without bail and a Red Corner Notice issued by Interpol, a worldwide law enforcement agency.

Lawrence Bishnoi's younger brother asked the US for protection. Last year, he was listed as a most-wanted criminal by the National Investigation Agency, and a reward of 10 lakh rupees was offered for his capture. He faces 18 charges, including one for supplying weapons and help to the people who killed Moosewala. Goldy Brar, who is also part of the Bishnoi gang, first admitted to the killing, then said it was to get revenge for a politician's death. In June 2025, it was revealed that Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi, who were once university friends and then became crime bosses involved in many illegal activities like extortion, murder, and selling drugs and weapons, had split up because Anmol Bishnoi was arrested.

It has been learned that problems had been building up for a while. Sources said the main reason for the split was that Lawrence Bishnoi felt Brar and another gangster, Rohit Godara, didn't help his brother get out on bail. Anmol did get bail later but had to wear a tracking device. Because of this, a very angry Lawrence Bishnoi ended his ties with Brar and teamed up with Noni Rana, who is the brother of the well-known Haryana gangster Kala Rana. Anmol Bishnoi took credit for the shooting that happened outside Salman Khan's home in Bandra, Mumbai. According to a document detailing the charges, Anmol Bishnoi gave a nine-minute talk to encourage the shooters, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, telling them they would be famous. Also, on October 12, 2024, Baba Siddique, who was a minister in Maharashtra and served three terms as an MLA, was killed outside his son's workplace. Authorities stated that Anmol Bishnoi also had contact with those shooters.
