Just when all hopes to rescue the movie 'Everest' seemed lost, it's reported that Cross Creek Pictures may be the life-saver. Brian Oliver's financing and production company Cross Creek Pictures is nearing a deal to co-finance the project, according to reports. Walden Media is also financing the movie, report says.

The deadly mountain-climbing film features Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin and Jake Gyllenhaa. The film had been scrambling for finance since October, when financiers Randall Emmett and George Furla exited the movie. The future of 'Everest' seemed grim when the Nov. 6 production start passed, but luckily the deal with Cross Creek is happening.
