On 30 January 1948, the nation went orphan, the light of truth extinguished, after the Father of the Nation, as we lovingly called that man, was brutally assassinated in broad daylight. Bapu was dead. Sixty-six years later, we mourn the man who not only won the country it's freedom along with other freedom fighters, but also inspired many to lead a life of truth and righteousness.
