Motorola Edge 70 was introduced in a few global markets on Wednesday. This latest member of the Edge lineup is available in three colors and has a lightweight and thin design. The Motorola Edge 70 measures 5.99mm in thickness and weighs 159g, offering a sleek shape similar to devices like the iPhone Air and Galaxy S25 Edge. It operates on a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, paired with 12GB of RAM. The device features a 6.67-inch pOLED screen and a 50-megapixel front camera. It is equipped with a 4,800mAh Silicon-Carbon battery that supports 68W fast charging via cable and 15W wireless charging. In the UK, the Motorola Edge 70 is priced at GBP 700 (about Rs. 80,000). It comes in Pantone Bronze Green, Pantone Lily Pad, and Gadget Grey colors. In Europe and the Middle East, it will have a starting price of EUR 799 (81,000). Motorola has announced that the Motorola Edge 70 will soon be available in various markets worldwide.
The Motorola Edge 70, which supports Dual SIM (Nano SIM + eSIM), runs on Android 16 and is confirmed to get security updates until June 2031. It has a 6.67-inch pOLED super HD display with a resolution of 1,220×2,712 pixels, featuring a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a pixel density of 446ppi, and a 20:09 aspect ratio. The display can show HDR10+ content, boasts a touch sampling rate of up to 300Hz, and is known to reach a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The screen is also protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. The Motorola Edge 70 operates on a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor combined with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. For photography, it provides a 50-megapixel main rear camera (f/1.8) with optical image stabilization, as well as a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.0) featuring a specialized 3-in-1 light sensor. For selfies and video conferencing, there's a 50-megapixel front camera. Connectivity options include 5G, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, LTEPP, Galileo, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and Wi-Fi 6E. It also has dual stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos. Built-in sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and SAR sensor.

The Motorola Edge 70 includes a fingerprint sensor integrated into the display and also supports face recognition for unlocking. It is equipped with Motorola's ThinkShield security system. The design is made from aircraft-grade aluminum and is certified for durability under MIL-STD-810H standards. The device offers IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The Motorola Edge 70 is powered by a 4,800mAh Silicon-Carbon battery that supports both 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. The battery is said to provide up to 29 hours of continuous video playback and around 66 hours for music streaming on one charge. Its dimensions are 159×74×5.99mm with a weight of 159g. With its slim 5.99mm profile, the Motorola Edge 70 is introduced as one of the slimmest phones from the company. If released in India, it may rival higher-priced models like the iPhone Air and Galaxy S25 Edge. In India, the starting price for the iPhone Air is Rs. 1,19,900 for the base version, while the Galaxy S25 Edge starts at Rs. 1,09,999.
