Oppo K15 Turbo Pro has appeared in new leaks, suggesting a potential shift in its processor approach while maintaining its gaming-oriented nature. Recent reports indicate that Oppo might use a new MediaTek chip instead of a Snapdragon one, although important features like a high-resolution screen, big battery, and active cooling system are likely to remain the same. The leak also hints that Oppo might introduce built-in fan cooling in their budget devices, but the final details of the phone are still uncertain. According to a recent Weibo update by leaker Digital Chat Station, the premium version of the K Turbo series, thought to be the Oppo K15 Turbo Pro, could launch with a new MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chip that hasn't been announced yet. The main specs are expected to include a 6.78-inch flat LTPS OLED screen with 1.5K resolution, a 50-megapixel primary rear camera, a hefty battery, and an active cooling fan built in. The leaker also mentioned that Oppo intends to add active cooling fans to more affordable models down the line.
It has been reported earlier that MediaTek is likely to launch a Dimensity 9500e version as well. The presence of both the “9500e” and “9500s” chips may confuse customers, particularly if Oppo does not make the performance differences clear. Right now, we do not know a lot about this new chip or where it fits in the product lineup. These new details are different from an earlier leak from the same source. In the earlier information, it was suggested that the Oppo K15 Turbo Pro would run on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. Other specs were consistent, with the previous leak also mentioning a 6.78-inch LTPS flat display with 1.5K resolution, rounded edges, protections against dust and water, and support for active cooling. The battery size was said to be 8,000mAh or higher, a notable improvement from the previous model. For reference, Oppo's K Turbo line is already recognized for its innovative cooling features. The Oppo K13 Turbo Pro, along with the standard K13 Turbo, was the first device to be revealed with built-in fan units and air ducts for active cooling. Launched in India in August, it starts at a price of Rs. 37,999 for the 8GB + 256GB version and is powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor.
The Oppo K13 Turbo Pro has a 6.80-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a dual rear camera system featuring a 50-megapixel main lens and a 2-megapixel secondary lens, and a 16-megapixel front camera. It also features a 7,000 square mm vapor cooling chamber, 80W fast charging capabilities, support for bypass charging, and various levels of water resistance including IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9. With varying reports now coming out about its successor, more information about the Oppo K15 Turbo Pro is anticipated as its official launch date approaches.
