Vivo S60 was introduced in China on Friday as the latest mid-range smartphone from the company. The device is expected to become available for purchase in the country shortly through the brand's online shop. It comes in three different colors. The new Vivo S series phone includes a triple camera system on the back. It has a large 7,200mAh battery that supports fast charging at 90W through a USB Type-C connector. The phone showcases a 6.59-inch screen that can refresh at rates up to 144Hz. It also includes a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for secure access. The design of the Vivo S60 features a single-piece "cold-carved glass" style. The starting price of the Vivo S60 is CNY 3,599 (approximately Rs. 50,000) for the base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The higher model with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is priced at CNY 3,999 (around Rs. 56,000). The top variant, which has 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, costs CNY 4,399 (close to Rs. 62,000).
In addition, the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition is available for CNY 2,899 (about Rs. 41,000) for the entry-level 8GB + 256GB option, while the 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB models are priced at CNY 3,199 (roughly Rs. 45,000) and CNY 3,499 (around Rs. 49,000), respectively. These new phones will be available in China starting June 3 through the Vivo online store. The Vivo S60 series is available in the colors Early Summer Green, Midsummer Night's Dream, and Sea of Stars. The Vivo S60 supports dual SIM cards and operates on OriginOS 6, which is based on Android 16. It features a 6.59-inch 1.5K (1,260 x 2,750 pixels) AMOLED display, supporting a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, a pixel density of 459 ppi, over 1 billion colors, HDR compatibility, a full DCI-P3 color range, and a touch sampling rate of 300Hz. The company states that the phone has IP69 + IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The Vivo S60 is powered by a 4nm octa-core Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, which includes three efficiency cores running at 2GHz, four performance cores at 2.8GHz, and a prime core with a maximum speed of 3GHz. The phone also has an Adreno 735 GPU, supports up to 16GB of RAM, and provides up to 512GB of internal storage.
For its camera features, the Vivo S60 comes with a three-camera setup on the back. This includes a 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.75) that has optical image stabilization, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.2), and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2.65) that provides digital zoom up to 100 times. For taking selfies and making video calls, there is a 50-megapixel camera (f/2.0) on the front. This device can record videos in up to 4K resolution. The Vivo S60 has a powerful 7,200mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging through wired connections. The Vivo S60 Vitality Edition shares the same display qualities, battery size, fast charging capabilities, fingerprint sensor, size, operating system, and connectivity options as the Vivo S60. Additionally, it has the same main and ultrawide cameras on its rear. However, the Vitality Edition does not include the 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera that is present in the standard version. In addition to these features, the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition is powered by a 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Full Power chipset, which includes four efficiency cores running at 2GHz and four performance cores with a maximum speed of 2.6GHz. This device also has an ARM Mali G625 GPU, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of internal storage. It weighs around 199g.
