Redmi Note 15 SE 5G was introduced in India last week as a special version of the Note 15 5G. Now, the company said on Tuesday that the phone is available for purchase in the country. The device comes in three different storage options and three colors. The Crimson Reserve color has a vegan leather design and is 7.82mm thick. The new Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is run by a 4nm octa-core Snapdragon 6 series processor, paired with an Adreno GPU. It also has a 5,800mAh battery. The primary rear camera has a resolution of 50 megapixels. In India, the starting price of the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is Rs. 24,999 for the basic model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The higher models with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage are priced at Rs. 25,999 and Rs. 27,999, respectively.
Right now, the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is available at promotional prices of Rs. 19,999, Rs. 21,999, and Rs. 23,999, respectively. Moreover, the company is providing an instant discount of Rs. 2,000 if you use an ICICI Bank card. Customers can also select from up to six months of EMI payment plans.
This new special edition model is being sold in India through Flipkart and the Xiaomi online store. The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is available in Carbon Black, Crimson Reserve (Red), and Frosted White colors. This model is a special edition of the recently launched Note 15 5G but comes with slightly varied specifications. For comparison, the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G supports dual SIM and runs on Xiaomi's HyperOS 2, built on Android 15. It has a 6.77-inch Curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080x2,392 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits, and covers the DCI-P3 color space. Xiaomi's sub-brand asserts that the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G has an IP65 + IP66 rating for dust and water resistance. It is powered by Qualcomm's 4nm octa-core Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, with a maximum clock speed of 2.4GHz. The device has an Adreno GPU, offers up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and allows for up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, which is expandable by up to 1TB via a MicroSD card.
Regarding the camera, the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G features dual rear cameras, topped by a 50-megapixel (f/1.8) main camera with a 1/2.88-inch Light Hunter 400 sensor. It also includes a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The new special edition Redmi phone is equipped with a 20-megapixel (f/2.2) front camera for selfies and video calls, featuring a 1/4-inch sensor. It can record videos at up to 4K/30 fps. The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is supported by a 5,800mAh battery and offers 45W fast charging. The new smartphone has an under-display fingerprint scanner and AI Face Unlock for security purposes. Its dimensions are 164x75. 42x7. 35mm, and it weighs approximately 178g.
