Analysis

Middle Class Melodies Movie Review, Rating, Story, Cast and Crew

Middle Class Melodies starts on a boring note and the first half an hour of the film offers nothing except some unwanted stuff that doesn't discuss about the story. The father and son episodes are well presented and the entertainment looks decent. The love story once again irritates the audience and will not convince the audience. The film is set in a rural area of Guntur and the visuals are decent. The conversations are realistic and the dialogues are good. The songs are ok and the interval portions are good. On the whole, the first half of Middle Class Melodies is passable.

The second half of the film too has several ups and downs. Some of the episodes are quite convincing and the other parts make a tedious watch. The cinematography work and the entertainment are the major USP of the second half. The pre-climax episodes are not convincing as they lack emotional depth and connect. The film misses a realistic and honest approach. The songs are just ok and couple of songs are visually good. On the whole, the second half of Middle Class Melodies too is passable and disappointing at times.

Performance

Anand Devarakonda needs to improve by miles as an actor. He receives the support of a bunch of actors because of which he could not manage to top the show. Anand turned better with his acting than his debut film. Varsha Bollamma is decent and she fits well in the assignment. She looks perfect as a middle class girl and her expressions are good. Goparaju Ramana is undoubtedly the major highlight of the film. His performance as Anand Devarakonda's father is a treat to watch. All the episodes between the father and son are quirky and generates enough humor. Surabhi Prabhavathi as Anand's mother and Prem Sagar as Varsha's father did their parts well. Chaitanya as hero's friend brings enough smiles. All the other actors have been decent.

Middle Class Melodies has a simple plot which is set in and around Guntur. The film's dialogues are decent and they remind everyone and connect to the middle class conversations that happen in rural areas. The songs are just ok but the background score is apt. The cinematography work excels in this rural entertainer and is one of the highlights. The production values are good enough and the editing work should have been better. Debutant Vinod delivers a decent work with Middle Class Melodies which has enough flaws.

Final Word

Middle Class Melodies can be given a watch once for the quirky entertainment and some good performances. If given a theatrical release, the film would have become a boring product.
