Water is a major issue in Arizona, being a water scarce country of United States.

While most of the cities are bracing up for mega drought that would lead to major water shortages and vegetations to dry up, Arizona has started an initiative which has pushed hundreds of people to give idea on water conservation.

State leaders have enacted laws to administer water use.

With innovative ideas being asked on water management, a group came up with a website hosting hundreds of video clips to spread awareness on water.

The group was awarded with $100,000 prize for their creativity.

The group ‘Beyond the Mirage’ comprised of videographers and other media professionals including a video coordinator at the University of Arizona and an executive producer.

Water is an incredible aspect of our daily lives. We drink, bath, cook and carry out lot of other daily activities involving water. Even the animals and plants also exist on water. But day by day the water resources are getting depleted, causing a major concern for our future generation. This natural resource is becoming scarcer in certain places and its availability is a major social and economic concern.

In the developing world, 90% of all wastewater still goes untreated into local rivers and streams. The dirt not only affects freshwaters bodies, but also degrades ground water resources.
