A four-vehicle crash took place on the eastbound i-10 has injured five people, and trapped another. This incident has caused the shutdown of part of the highway on Sunday for hours.
This crash happened at 5.30 p.m near the Interstate 17 interchange. At 7.45p.m officials were still re-routing the traffic and telling drivers about the expected delays.

Officials said that prior to collision one vehicle was travelling in and out of traffic, it was not immediately clear how the crash took place.
Four adults and one child were injured in this incident and they were immediately taken to the hospital. Officials said that all of them are suffering from non-life threatening injuries only.
According to DPS, by 8.00 p.m one person was still trapped in the vehicle. The westbound of I-10 remained open throughout the incident. One of the vehicles involved in the accident drove away.
