Red Magic 11 Air was introduced in China on Tuesday as a new smartphone aimed at gamers, equipped with powerful components, cooling technology, and a big battery in a sleek design. The phone showcases a 1.5K 144Hz full-screen display, a top-tier Snapdragon 8 processor combined with a specialized gaming chip, and a sophisticated cooling mechanism with two active fans. Additionally, it contains a 7,000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging, shoulder trigger buttons, and a selfie camera hidden under the display. The starting price of the Red Magic 11 Air in China is CNY 3,699 (about Rs. 48,300) for the entry-level 12GB + 256GB model, while the higher variant with 16GB + 512GB is available for CNY 4,399 (around Rs. 57,500). At launch, the phone comes only in Quantum Black and Stardust White colors. An Aurora Silver version is planned to be released in March.
The Red Magic 11 Air features a 6.85-inch 1.5K (2,688×1,216 pixels) full-screen display that refreshes at 144Hz. It has a 95.1 percent screen-to-body ratio and includes Star Shield Eye Protection Technology 2.0, 2,592Hz PWM dimming, DC dimming, and SGS certification for low blue light. The touch response is managed by Magic Touch 3.0 technology, allowing for up to 960Hz multi-frequency sampling and instant touch response up to 2,500Hz. Red Magic confirms that the 11 Air operates on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 SoC, paired with its own RedCore R4 gaming chip. It can support up to 16GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The device runs on Android 16 with RedMagic OS 11.0.
Features for gaming on the Red Magic 11 Air consist of the Cube Sky Engine 3.0, professional shoulder trigger buttons with a 520Hz touch sampling rate, bypass charging capability, and a built-in PC emulator. Cooling management uses the ICE Magic Cooling System, which integrates dual active cooling fans, a thick ice-grade vapor chamber, graphene copper foil, and the Wind Chaser 4.0 system to manage heat during prolonged gaming. The phone also provides NFC and an infrared remote control feature.
For photography, the Red Magic 11 Air is equipped with a dual rear camera system that includes a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. It also has a 16-megapixel under-display camera for selfies and video calls. The Red Magic 11 Air comes with a 7,000mAh battery, which is the largest in the Red Magic Air series, capable of 120W fast charging and bypass charging. In terms of looks, the Red Magic 11 Air features a 3D micro-arc glass back with a transparent design. Its dimensions are 163.82×76.54×7.85mm, and it weighs 207g.
